This is the most comprehensive personal coverage. It complements the Flex offer and the Guaranteed Refund (the latter covers collective government/prefectural issues related to COVID-19, such as bans on public access to campsites, travel bans, border closures).
The cancellation insurance, on the other hand, covers other "individual" reasons that might require you to cancel your trip, whether for personal or professional reasons that can be duly justified. It covers damage, health concerns, but also the case where one of the participants in the trip has been in contact with COVID-19 or is sick. This is an optional flat fee that is payable only when booking your camping holiday.
The price of the Cancellation Insurance + Vaccination Pass is 5% of the net price of the accommodation, a minimum of €14 for stays of 1 to 4 nights and €32 for stays of 5 nights or more.
This cancellation insurance covers refundable amounts (minus the cancellation insurance and booking fees) without proof up to 30 days before the arrival date. Within less than 30 days before the arrival date and until the day before the stay, the cancellation insurance applies for the cases mentioned in the General Terms and Conditions upon presentation of proof (medical or professional). Any stay that has started or is starting on the same day is no longer subject to the cancellation insurance.
The Cancellation Insurance + Vaccination Pass also covers you if the Government decides to make the Vaccination Pass mandatory for access to campsites during your stay period, forcing you to cancel your stay for this reason.
Cancellation insurance must be taken out during the purchase process and paid together with the first deposit. It can only be added to a booking no later than 48 hours after the booking, provided the arrival is at least 30 days away, and it cannot be refunded.
